At Deal Me Out we strive to bring recovery services into the 21st century and provide long term support via group activities alongside our one-to-one peer support. We plan to organise day trips and events for victims of gambling harm, the intention being for the affected to discover new hobbies and interests and to build new skills and restore confidence. Also to be more involved with the community therefore achieving a greater sense of wellbeing.

Research shows that exercise can help alleviate long-term depression. Some of the evidence for that comes from broad, population-based correlation studies. There's good epidemiological data to suggest that active people are less depressed than inactive people.

This is why DMO believe that the way to go forward with recovery is to work together and socialise, no one should have to go through recovery alone.
